MAI is looking for senior designers to bring our VR/Web applications to the next level. In this role, you will investigate, concept, and prototype new experiences for our VR products. You will work closely with other designers, 3D artists, medical content specialists and engineers to develop new features and optimize existing ones that will improve, and enrich the user experience of our users. You should be able to balance customer needs with technical constraints while bearing business impact in mind to deliver the team’s ideas, translating these ideas into stunning visuals and actionable design recommendations. You will join projects at various stages of production, ranging from wireframes, to prototyping, to delivering scalable production assets, to polishing and optimizing UI assets, collaborating together with 3D artists and engineers to ensure the high quality and usability of our products. This role requires you to have excellent communication skills, attention to details, curiosity, adaptability, and thoughtfulness as you produce visually aesthetic contents while helping the team to take on technical challenges.
- 7+ years of UI/UX and visual/motion design experience and delivery in a variety of shipped products
- Proficiency with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Maya/3ds Max, Figma, and Final Cut Pro
- Hands-on experience in visual concept, wireframes, 2D & 3D prototypes and product iterations
- Experience in designing real-time interactive apps and experiences across multiple platforms and devices, in at least one of the following areas: AR/VR, 3D, gaming, education and training
- Experience in leading and coaching team members to develop their design practice
- Eye for detail. Ability to deliver aesthetic, high-quality visual assets for VR/web/tablet
- Ability to present eloquently and weigh tradeoffs in discussions with cross-functional teams

The ideal candidates for this position will possess a blend of skills requiring an entrepreneurial aptitude and including the ability to develop and maintain a strategic marketing plan while also effectively administering to the business’s needs and working with customers and internal team members to deliver new business. In addition, this role acts as a conduit between the prospect and distributors to identify, organize and focus the resources required to deliver the sales and technical support for customer relationships.
